形態特徵

Plant 0.8-1.2 m.
Leaves sessile or shortly petiolate. Blade 34-50 by 3.5-9.5 cm, oblong to lanceolate, tip acuminate, base cuneate, glabrous on both sides except for margin and below midrib; ligule 0.5 cm long, entire or bilobed, subcoriaceous, hairy on outer surface.
Inflorescence spicate, erect, 10-15 cm long, rachis pale yellow-green, villose; bract minute, margin ciliated. Flowers pedicellate, pedicel 0.2-0.3 cm long; without bracteole; calyx pale green-pink, tubular, 1.3 cm long, shortly 2-lobed and deeply split unilaterally, minutely pubescent on outer surface; corolla white, tube 1 cm long, base pink, lobes oblong, outer surface sparsely pubescent, margin ciliate, dorsal lobe 2.0 by 2.0 cm, laterals 2.0 by 0.9 cm; labellum white, ovate, convolute, margin crispate, 3.0-3.6 by 2.7-3.5 cm, with red stripes and spots at the center, apex emarginate; staminodes none or minute; anther 1.0-1.2 cm long; filament 1.0 cm long; stigma funnel-form, apex sparsely hairy; style slender, ca. 3 cm long; epigynous glands yellow-brown, columnar, united on one side, 0.3 cm long; ovary greenish, white villose, 0.4 by 0.3 cm.
Fruit capsular, red, globose, 1.0 by 0.9 cm, costulate, sparsely hairy. Seeds 14-27, black-brown, angled; aril white, membranaceous.
